ASSN Commends STCCI and Jubilee Partners on Tertiary Scholars' Aid Project, Urges Eligible Students with Special Needs to Apply

The Association of Students with Special Needs (ASSN) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has expressed profound appreciation to the Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (STCCI), alongside Tullow and its Jubilee Partners, for launching the Tertiary Scholars’ Aid Project for the 2026/2027 academic year.
This financial support scheme aims to lighten the burden of higher education for undergraduate students hailing from seven specific coastal districts in the Western Region: Shama, Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA), Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA), Ahanta West, Nzema East, Ellembelle, and Jomoro.
Beneficiaries of the program will receive comprehensive support designed to foster smooth academic progress, including full coverage of admission or facility user fees, accommodation costs, a personal laptop, and ongoing stipends throughout their study duration.
In commending the sponsoring organizations for investing in tertiary education, the leadership of ASSN strongly encourages all eligible students with special needs from the designated coastal districts to take full advantage of this opportunity. Ensuring equitable access to financial resources is crucial to removing barriers and empowering students with special needs to excel academically.
Eligible applicants can complete their applications online through the official portal at www.jubileetertiaryscholarsaid.org. For further inquiries or assistance with the application process, UEW students may also visit the Students Financial Aid Office, located at the Student Centre Building, North Campus.
