Their story
Eric Narh is a visually impaired special educator, web and software designer, assistive technology specialist, digital inclusion consultant, and radio broadcaster who is reshaping how digital accessibility and social inclusion are practiced across Ghana. As a proud alumnus of the Association of Students with Special Needs at the University of Education, Winneba (ASSN-UEW), Eric leverages lived experience alongside software engineering and media representation to break down structural barriers for persons with disabilities.
Driven by a commitment to practical solutions, Eric engineered and deployed the official ASSN-UEW digital portal—establishing a centralized platform for membership administration, alumni tracking, campus news publishing, and integrated payment routing. Extending his engineering expertise to accessible governance, he also developed student election voting software featuring WebAuthn biometrics and Web Speech API audio verification prompts, guaranteeing independent, secure, and fully accessible participation for voters with diverse needs.
Beyond software architecture, Eric leads grassroots advocacy and public education. As the founder of the Rolex Man Foundation, he produces original multimedia content to champion disability rights and community empowerment. He complements this leadership as a radio broadcaster, utilizing his media platform to amplify special education advocacy and inclusive policy discussions. His work continues to set new benchmarks for bridging technology, education, and media to construct a fully accessible society.
